An intro to moi

I'm Bea and I have recently found my passion in life - Baking! I am a self taught enthusiast and like to think I have some talent in the kitchen. I found this skill through watching the Great British Bake-Off so I guess Mary Berry and Paul Hollywood are my inspiration.
I started my baking career decorating cakes for various people's birthdays, however I soon decided I preferred baking harder more specialised delights. I swiftly left the Bee cakes and easy nibbles behind, much to friends and chief tasters horrors, and moved on to pastries and mince pies.
I haven't completely deserted the cakes though, the latest masterpiece, of which I am extremely proud, was the triple layered chocolate and vanilla buttermilk Maltesers cake.
Another passion I have is of photography, so I decided to start a blog to keep a log of my bakes. If you read this I hope you like my creations!
